Rosa awarded state honour

26 Nov, 2008 08:29 AM
TOURISM Southern Highlands manager Steve Rosa has received the Tourism Industry Council of NSW Rod Murdoch Award for his contribution to regional tourism.

Mr Rosa received the award at a ceremony at the Australian National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour.

He also accepted a “Distinction in Tourism Services” award for Tourism Southern Highlands, as runner-up to the overall winner, Greater Port Macquarie Visitor Centre.

Mr Rosa said he felt very proud and very honoured to be recognised for this respected industry award.

“Both awards are endorsement for the efforts that our local tourism industry and my staff have played in repositioning and rebuilding the Southern Highlands as a major regional tourism destination over the past three years,” he said.
