Rock of ages, cleft the tree

21 Jun, 2007 06:18 PM
Trees have knocked down power lines and landslides have dislodged huge rocks as wild weather lashed the region.

A falling tree knocked down power lines on Braemar Avenue on Tuesday night as a result of a severe storm that lashed the area this week.

Power lines were left laying across the road at the intersection of Braemar Avenue and Bunya Close when the large tree fell about 10.30pm.

Motorists are being warned to take extra care while driving on Joadja Road after huge rocks fell from the hill onto the road on Wednesday night.
