This year's show will also mark 75 years of the Illawarra cattle Society.
Organisers are hoping for improved conditions this weekend after rain created challenges for the 5000 patrons last year.
"There will be a wide variety of activities and events including showjumping, dog shows, as well as the pavilion, push bike races and an animal nursery," Robertson Show Committee president Rosemary Turner said.
"There will also be a lot of competitions in the evening, including tug of war and potato races."
Mrs Turner said the show hosted many unique activities which made the Robertson Show an event to remember.
"The haystacking competition in which contestants have to stack the highest number of bales is very fun," she said.
"The dog jumping is always enjoyable and we already have more than 500 competitors. The demolition derby is also very popular and definitely one of the highlights of the show."
One of the most renowned activities is the Robertson Show's famous potato races in which male competitors have to carry a 50kg bag of potatoes and run around a 400 metre track.
Despite the loss of the beef and alpaca competitions, due to a clash of dates with other shows, Robertson Show Society members are confident there will be plenty to attract primary producers and showcase the district's unique rural lifestyle.
The Robertson Show continues through the weekend.
