The Resource Recovery Centre, as it is now known, won three awards, including the major prize of Business of the Year.
The centre was also judged best in the categories of excellence in environmental management and excellence in an established business.
It is the first time a business has won three prizes at the Business Awards, hosted by Regional Publishers, publishers of the Southern Highland News and Highlands Post.
The Resource Recovery Cenrtre was opened in 2001, the result of 10 years of work since the Wingecarribee Shire Council recognised that landfill waste disposal was both environmentally unsound and unsustainable.
