The draft Local Environment Plan (LEP) for the proposed Renwick development went on display this week.
On public exhibition since Wednesday, the Renwick draft LEP aims to include provisions in the existing Shire Plan (Wingecarribee Local Environmental Plan 1989) to:
• Rezone the land known as Renwick Village for residential development, with a maximum of 600 dwellings;
• Require the preparation of a Development Control Plan (DCP) to guide the site's development;
• Ensure satisfactory arrangements for necessary infrastructure;
• Protect important flora, fauna, native bush and riparian land; and,
• Provide a future neighbourhood commercial/retail and community centre precinct.
The amended Renwick draft LEP will be on display at the Moss Vale Civic Centre (8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday), the Bowral Library (8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, 9.30pm to 4pm Saturday), and Mittagong Visitor Information Centre(9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm Saturday and Sunday, until February 28.
