Bowral resident Ray Richmond had the honour of firing the cannon to start this year's 60th Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race on Boxing Day.
Ray is the sole surviving crew member of Rani, the line honours and overall handicap winner of the inaugural Sydney to Hobart in 1945.
