Sir,
Members of Rainbow Southern Highlands attended Education Week celebrations to open the Rainbow Room at Tangara School recently.
The high school students welcomed us with a song from Ghana and demonstrated their dancing skills. The primary school children had fun entertaining us with percussion instruments and a song which we thought was just great; most of these little ones were in wheelchairs.
We had a terrific day and are very happy that the students are enjoying the wonderful new resources that Rainbow has been able to supply for the school.
The Sensory Forest, which is a very colourful and amazing arrangement of learning aids that have to be seen to be believed, are loved by the children. They learn so much from these aids.
An aucoustic vibrating pillow which gives wonderful respite to children who spend so much time in wheelchairs and walking frames has also been provided.
Rainbow has been privileged to help Tangara for so many years so it's a good time to thank our sponsors who have helped us to make this possible and our fundraising activities so successful; from business houses to the individuals who helped with our first ball, fundraising dinner and auction, golf days, luncheons, raffles, publicity, etc.
We couldn't have done it without you all. Thank you so much.
