Sydney will begin using water from the Kangaloon aquifer today, despite the protests of more than 300 people who attended a public meeting in Bowral on Saturday.
The pumps will start this morning, taking Kangaloon groundwater on a six-month trial to top up Sydney supplies.

But those protests largely fell on deaf ears.
SCA will commence pumping for six months to draw 45 billion litres of water over three years for Sydney-siders.
