With the worst record for fatal car crashes in the state, police are stepping up efforts to stop dangerous driving in the Camden Local Area Command this week.
Following last year's record high, which saw 21 fatal crashes on Wingecarribee/Wollondilly roads, police will increase their high visibility patrolling as part of Operation Northern Villages II.
Camden Local Area Command (LAC) commander Superintendent Greg Rolph announced the new operation yesterday with an emphasis on conducting highly visible policing and mobile breath testings along the back roads of the Wollondilly and northern section of the Southern Highlands.
