Bowral police are involved in a massive operation to put a stop to drug smuggling, following the arrest of a Thirlmere couple on drug and firearm supply charges on Friday.

The pair were arrested after detectives from Camden, Bowral and the Wetherill Park Target Action Group raided a Thirlmere home and a business in Camden on Friday morning.

Drugs including ice, ecstasy and cannabis as well as a number of illegal weapons were seized.

The two properties were raided, following three months of undercover and covert investigations into the area's drug supply.
