A Bowral woman is urging dog-owners to obey the law and keep their pets on leash after her dog, Zany, was attacked on a local bike path.
Dianne Aird was walking the chow-chow cross one morning before Christmas when a large, unrestrained dog approached and bit it.
Her pet was only shaken by the incident but she recently reported it to council after she saw the culprit, an Alsatian, running off-leash again.
"Imagine if it was someone with a little dog, or worse still, a small child," Mrs Aird said.
"You would see a lot of dogs off leash every time you go walking.
"This causes a problem whether they're friendly or not," she said.
