Police investigating the alleged murder of 36-year-old Robertson man Santo Marco Pantalon, also known as Sonny, are appealing to members of the Robertson community to come forward and provide information about the fatal shooting on Sunday morning.
"Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to come forward. We would advise residents to speak with investigators rather than discussing these matters among themselves," Camden Local Area Command crime manager Paul Albury said.
"I would appeal to members of the Robertson community to let the true story emerge in court."
Thirty-eight-year-old Robertson man Frederick Jean-Pierre Martin was charged with Mr Pantalon's murder on Sunday night after police interviewed witnesses to the incident.
It is believed the fatal shooting occurred after Mr Pantalon and a second man drove to Mr Martin's residence on the Illawarra Highway, east of Robertson, at around 2am on Sunday, where they were confronted by Mr Martin.
Mr Martin is thought to have approached the vehicle with a gun, resulting in Mr Pantalon receiving a single shotgun blast to his upper torso.
