Moss Vale’s marathon man does it again

21 Jun, 2007 06:12 PM
Moss Vale endurance cyclist Richard Vollebregt has produced what many, including himself, had thought the impossible, by finishing fifth in his first Race Across America endurance ride yesterday.

Just eight months after breaking the world record for cycling from Perth to Sydney, Vollebregt has conquered the oldest and toughest endurance bike ride in the world - in an amazing 10 days, four hours and 53 minutes.

Vollebregt passed the finishing post at Atlantic City, New Jersey, at 5.34pm (7.24am Monday eastern standard time), after setting out from Oceanside, California on Sunday, June 10.
