Member for Southern Highlands Peta Seaton described last week's meeting with Transport Minister John Watkins as a "minor win".
While welcoming the decision on weekday Goulburn buses, Ms Seaton said it was "wait and see" on many other urgent rail issues affecting local rail travellers.
Ms Seaton said the Minister could not answer immediately whether the axed Goulburn weekend services would have a replacement bus.
The Minister said he would "take advice" on the weekend service, she said.
"There was also no commitment on when or if the pre-2003 rail service levels such as through trains to the CBD would ever be restored. "The Minister said he was busy trying to fix the troubled system, and could give no guarantees."
Ms Seaton said she was pleased with progress on the bus replacement issue, but it was no comfort to those who were unable to use buses for medical reasons.
Ms Seaton said she was pleased the Minister had heard the delegation's concerns on safety, filthy trains, access to Picton Station, security, especially on night services, and maintenance issues.
"It will be a case of wait and see if the Minister's willingness to hear us out is translated into action," she said.
