Dear Sir,
Rainbow would like to thank yourself and many others for a really fantastic month; starting with the donation of a beautiful quilt made and donated for a raffle by the Material ladies sewing group Moss V ale which raised $3000 and won by David Marshall; he re-donated it for our auction at our "Link in the chain of Love Ball" which was a great success raising $5000 and 170 people had a wonderful time; for this I must thank John Tiyce for instigating such a wonderful event and his daughter Haley for her support.
To Nick Campbell-Jones, his support was invaluable to the success of our first Ball, to Marjo Hallowell who has provided us with photos of the evening which will be available at the Kiosk in Oxley Mall and will further help Rainbow.
To all who donated gifts to the auction and raffle, especially Gordon Webb who crafted a beautiful blanket box, which was admired by all.
On April 13, Mittagong Golf Club was host to a very successful day sponsored by David Bennett and David Stanton raising $2000 for our cause, thank you all, also the players and the club for your continued interest and support.
Easter week was the time chosen by Baker's Delight to donate 50c for each sixpack of hot cross buns to Rainbow, raising $1,174.15. We know by folk who commented how really nice they were. They will be buying them again next year. Thank you Jo and Jeff Harrington and staff.
And a very loving thank you to all who cared enough to help make our little girl, who had her garden fairy stolen, happy by the gifts and care shown in many ways.
I, with this family am so grateful we live in the Southern Highlands where there are so many caring and beautiful people, special thanks to Southern Highlands News, Highlands Post, 2ST and 2WKT Radio Station.
With heartfelt thanks God Bless you all.
Very Sincerely
Jone Armstrong
President Rainbow of the Southern Highlands
