A man was stabbed in the arm during a party brawl at Bowral early on Saturday morning.

Police were called after gatecrashers interrupted a party in Thompson Street, Bowral, about 1am on Saturday.

Police said about 150 party-goers were in attendance, and police had been informed of the event in advance.

However, a dispute erupted when a group of uninvited males attended and a skirmish took place, resulting in the wound.

Police said a 21-year-old Willow Vale man was treated at Bowral Hospital for a 2cm slash to his upper right arm.
