Maggie’s set for the biggest day of her life

30 Jan, 2002 07:27 AM

FOR youngsters like five-year-old Maggie Pinn (pictured), tomorrow represents one of the biggest days of their lives as they prepare to start school for the first time.

All students other than Kindergarten return to school today.

Maggie, of Osborne Road, Burradoo, tried on her new school uniform yesterday ahead of her first day as a new student at St Thomas Aquinas School in Bowral.

And she showed no signs of nerves as she happily posed for the camera decked out in her new dress and shiny black shoes.

“I’m really looking forward to going to school and doing some drawings while meeting up with my new friends”.

Her proud mum Gaynor said she would miss having her eldest daughter - Maggie’s younger sister Rosie is three - around the house on Thursday.

“To be honest, I’ll probably be more nervous than Maggie and I’m just wondering how long her new shoes will stay shiny,” she said.
