L-plater decided to go drinking first

27 Feb, 2009 01:50 PM
POLICE say they caught an L-plate driver with an alleged blood-alcohol level of .105 on Bong Bong Street, Bowral, on Saturday morning.

The 18-yearold was stopped at 3.15am and, after allegedly returning a positive breath test, she was charged with mid-range drink-driving at Bowral Police Station.

The blood-alcohol reading is more than twice the legal driving limit for a fully licenced driver.

L-Plate drivers are not allowed to drink any alcohol and drive.
