A Moss Vale-based mining machinery company has helped to add some sparkle to the work of the Starlight Foundation by donating more than $1300 to the children's charity.

Joy Mining Machinery recently presented the Starlight Foundation with $1393 raised from a raffle to celebrate the company's open day.

With more than 18 prizes on offer in the raffle, the company sold 1000 tickets and raised a total of $2786 from raffle proceeds and from donations by Joy Mining Machinery, the Moss Vale Services Club and Uniform Specialists in Wollongong.

Another $1393 was also donated to the Milton Park Wing of Bowral Hospital.

Prizes for the raffle were donated by local businesses such as Dormie House, Berida Manor, Southern Highland Taxis, Kangaroo Valley Golf Club and the Briars.

The money donated to the Starlight Foundation will be used to help address the needs of seriously ill children and their families.
