Libs' $5m hospital pledge

25 Jan, 2007 05:39 PM
NSW Opposition Leader Peter Debnam has promised a $5 million upgrade of Bowral and District Hospital if the Liberal/National Coalition wins power on March 24.

Mr Debnam announced plans for works including a new state-of-the-art children's ward and helipad during a visit to Bowral with Liberal candidate for Goulburn Pru Goward.

Mr Debnam said a Coalition Government would accelerate the interim upgrading of the Children's Ward and deliver a renal dialysis chair in the short stay ward.

Long-term plans for the hospital include a state-of-the art Children's Ward, a permanent Renal Dialysis Unit, upgrades to the operating theatre and wards and a helipad on hospital grounds.
