The Legacy Badge Appeal is on this week and Wingecarribee residents have been asked to give generously.
Legatee Ken Saxby has been a member of the Berrima branch for four years and explained the need to continue supporting these families during their times of hardship.
"I know it must sound odd to some people to be talking about war widows when World War II ended 60 years ago," he said.
