Don’t Bore Bundanoon supporters protested in typically Bundanoon fashion as the Land and Environment Court began its hearing into Norlex Holdings’ application to pump groundwater from the town on Thursday.
Hundreds of sign-waving residents greeted Commissioner Tim Moore yesterday morning as he arrived for an on-site inspection of the proposed bore site at Governors Street.
With no way of telling which car Mr Moore was travelling in, every vehicle travelling in the direction of Governors Street was greeted with boos and enthusiastically flourished signs.
Protesters heeded Don’t Bore Bundanoon’s requests to stay off the road, avoid parking near the school, and to respect the court process. The protest was peaceful.
