Just can’t stop loving Michael Jackson

03 Feb, 2010 08:56 AM
THE Southern Highlands came very close to having its very own ‘Neverland’ ranch after talks to convert a 201-hectare property into Australia’s first version of the late Michael Jackson’s fantasy wonderland broke down at the 11th hour.

The idea fell through when property owner and promoter Stephen Prince was unable to proceed with the project, which they had titled ‘Foreverland’.

Mr Prince approached Aussie Michael Jackson impersonator, Jason Jackson (who doesn’t like to be referred to by his birth surname Zamprogno), with an offer to perform a tribute show at Foreverland on a monthly basis.

“I had this guy come to me and I wanted to see where he came from. I didn’t know if he was fair dinkum or not,” Jackson said.

“It was a great idea but he wasn’t prepared for it.”

While disappointed Foreverland didn’t eventuate, Jackson was more concerned about letting down other fans of the late Michael Jackson.

“I didn’t want to let the fans down if it fell through,” Mr Jackson said.

As both an impersonator and a huge fan of the Michael Jackson, Jason Jackson is progressively creating his own Neverland at the place where he is staying at Narellan Vale.

“I’m planning a mosaic of [Michael] Jackson on the floor - like a fantasy world,” he said.

I am amazed they had the hide to even consider that, there is only one "Neverland" and that is how it should be. If it did go ahead it would have been nothing more than an insult to all the Michael Jackson fans here in Australia but also worldwide a true fan will only go to the original and that is how it should stay.
