Croyden resident Peter Salisbury has a warning for spectators at the 2008 Brigadoon is Bundanoon: Beware of the flying haggis.

A close encounter with a haggis at the 2007 Highland games landed Mr Salisbury on the operating table with a potentially dangerous blood clot.

Mr Salisbury was watching the egg toss in a taped off spectators' area between two games arenas when the "haggis"- a 2kg nylon bag filled with gravel - hit him on the right thigh. He was treated by St John Ambulance at the ground and later taken by ambulance to the Bowral Hospital.

"I was in agony. I couldn't move," Mr Salisbury said.
