The first sod of the new building works at HarbisonCare at Moss Vale was ceremoniously turned by Joanna Gash, local Member for Gilmore, last week.
The 42 additional units will take the number of units at the Moss Vale Site up to 90.
This is a welcome addition for those seeking a place in the pleasant surround of the Moss Vale facility which is set on a picturesque five acres.
The gardens and surrounds give the location a sense of home and with the original buildings having been completed in 1997 this new extension will offer residents more of the same.
There are allowances being made in the new extensions for couples to be housed in adjoining rooms in which they can maintain their own independence and privacy.
The first stage of the building will see the additions to the existing wings before the major work is constructed.
Present at the turning of the first sod were Steven McGrath from Denham Constructions, the builders of the extensions, Donald Johnson , architect, Noel Andrews, CEO of HarbisonCare, Caroline Luenberger, Director, David Cummins, director and Susan Hancock from the Moss Vale Chamber of Commerce.
