Hearing into Moss Vale murder charge adjourned

13 Nov, 2009 08:47 AM
THE man accused of murdering Moss Vale Woman Carmel George in May appeared in Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday.

Michael William Goodridge, 52, appeared via audio-visual link on charges of murder and tampering with evidence with intention to mislead a judicial tribunal.

Ms George’s body was found in a disused railway hut at Moss Vale Railway Station.

The Department of Public Prosecution’s Michael Stollery requested an adjournment.

He told the court it was a difficult post mortem examination and the report would not be available until the end of November.

A toxicology report would also not be available until December.

“The forensic evidence will be critical in this case,” he said.

The case was adjourned until January 13.
