Wingecarribee Shire councillor Jim Clark will contest the seat of Hume as the Greens candidate in this year's federal election.
A founding member of the Southern Highlands Greens, Cr Clark will campaign on social issues and industrial relations as well as environmental issues.
"The Howard Government's appalling policy record over the past 11 years is a stark reminder that the politics of fear and division have overtaken true leadership," Cr Clark said.
