Goward puts squeeze on transport woes

Member for Goulburn Pru Goward has invited Minister for Transport John Watkins to join her on the "sardine express" to see the problems of travelling by public transport in the Southern Highlands.

Ms Goward told NSW Parliament this week that the public transport system in the Southern Highlands was so hit and miss that passengers had to allow a whole day to travel anywhere within the Goulburn electorate.

On a recent occasion when Goulburn to Central rail services was replaced by buses, passengers at Marulan were unable to board the bus because it was full, she said.
