Mr McGill held his annual corporate sponsor day last Friday, giving sponsors the chance to go for a ride around Oran Park with him, but this year he was determined to make it extra special by taking Hill Top cancer survivor Vanessa Beasley for a spin.
Mrs Beasley, who recently won her battle with cancer has always been a racing fan, reinforced by her husband's part-time work with McGill's team and said she was thrilled at the opportunity to burn some rubber.
"I'm really excited about it, really excited," she said trackside last week.
"This is a real first, I've never driven in a car going at those sorts of high speeds, it should be great."
