Australian farmers looking for a comprehensive and detailed statement of the Coalition’s plans for tackling the great issues facing the sector have reason to be disappointed by John Anderson’s statement this week, according to Opposition Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry spokesman, Gavan O’Connor.
“On two of the great issues in rural Australia, water policy and competition policy, all we got from Mr Anderson were rehashed statements of good intentions, completely lacking in detail,” Mr O’Connor said.
