A MINI-BUS carrying a group of disabled passengers was left hanging over a small embankment after it was involved in a head-on collision north of Moss Vale yesterday afternoon.
Witnesses rushed to the aid of the people in the bus after it collided with a green Holden Commodore, sending it rolling several times before ending up upside down on the edge of Moss Vale Road just north of Bong Bong bridge at 12.30pm.
Four passengers, all elderly, were treated at the scene and two were taken to Bowral Hospital with minor cuts and bruises.
Both were in a stable condition yesterday afternoon.
Bystanders held onto the front of the bus until emergency services arrived.
The Wingecarribee SES had to secure the van before paramedics could treat those trapped.
Two passengers were strapped into the bus with their wheelchairs and a witness said it appeared the Commodore, driven by an elderly man, allegedly swerving into the wrong side of the road before hitting the bus. The Commodore’s front right wheel was severally damaged.
Bowral Police were still investigating the crash yesterday afternoon and weren’t able to release any information about the people involved.

Emergency services were called to downed trees in Hill Top, Fitzroy Falls, Macquarie Pass and Moss Vale yesterday.
Power in Balmoral was cut off after a huge pine tree fell on Railway Parade just after 7am as winds gusted up to 100kmh.
