JAZZ singer/pianist Diana Krall is set to join the list of superstars scheduled to perform at Centennial Vineyards this summer.
The Grammy award winner will headline Bowral’s A Day On The Green (ADOTG) concert on March 7 next year, joined by special guests Madeleine Peyroux, Melody Gardot, and Katie Noonan and The Captains.
It will be one of just five ADOTG appearances nationally by Krall, as part of her 2010 Australian tour to promote her twelfth album, Quiet Nights.
ADOTG publicist Chrissie Camp said Bowral’s concert season was shaping up to be a huge event with the B52s on November 29, Rob Thomas on February 14, and now Diana Krall on March 7.
That leaves one concert line-up unannounced, but Ms Camp said the performers would be just as impressive.
Since Krall’s last visit to Australia in 2005, she has given birth to twin boys, released four albums, produced and performed on Barbra Streisand’s new album, and toured extensively across the United States, Europe and UK.
She has sold millions of records worldwide since her debut in 1993 and has topped the pop and jazz charts.
Krall’s March 7 concert at Centennial will be a celebration of jazz, with the support of American singers Madeleine Peyroux and Melody Gardot, and Brisbane singer/songwriter Katie Noonan, who will open the show with her band The Captains.
Tickets start at $105 and will be on sale from October 23.
