A group of keen cyclists have turned their passion into dollars, raising more than $300,000 on a sponsored ride from Melbourne to Sydney.
After a week on the road, the 26 riders stopped overnight at the Briars, Bowral, on Friday before the last leg of their journey.
They finished up in Luna Park on Saturday after arranging a police escort across the Harbour Bridge with Transport Minister Carl Scully.
The cyclists, drawn together by their love of cycling and their involvement with the real estate sector around Australia and in South-East Asia, started the Tour de Kids four years ago.
Since then, it has grown as they have attracted larger corporate sponsors: this year they are supported by Lend Lease, Multiplex and Network Ten.
Over the four years they have raised more than $800,000.
The cyclists are keen to point out that unlike many charity rides between Sydney and Melbourne, they go "the long way", through the Southern Alps.
"We've kept up an average of over 30km/h over the whole trip, which includes hill climbs, so it's not a dawdle," David Rolls said.
"We do a lot of training beforehand and we have some ex-Australian riders in the group."
The day the Tour de Kids arrived in Bowral, they had cycled the 170 km from Yass, reaching speeds of up to 70km/h along the freeway.
The main charity to benefit from the ride will be the Starlight Foundation, but some money will also go to Anaphylaxis Australia, the burns unit at Westmead Children's Hospital, the John McLean unit, which helps young people with spinal injuries and Marist Youth Care.
The support will help Starlight continue its work around Australia, including the sponsorship of the Starlight Express Room at the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick, and fun centres in regional hospitals, including Bowral.
