Councillor Penny George will officially launch Youth Week in the Southern Highlands on Saturday April 9 at the Loseby Park Youth Centre open day.
The launch will take place at 3pm, but there will be free activities running from 11am until 5pm, including sumo-suit wrestling, arcade games and air hockey.
The drug and alcohol free event will also feature a barbecue, half-court basketball, pool, darts and table tennis.
The event has been funded by Area Assistance Scheme and Highland Community Centres Youth Service.
The launch will not only kick off local Youth Week, but also Loseby Park's school holiday program which will run throughout Youth Week and the following week.
During Youth Week, the centre will offer a Voice of Youth Art Workshop on Tuesday, and an air hockey and darts competition on Wednesday.
There will be a 'Vinyl Vengeance' cushion workshop and crazy craft day on Thursday and pizza-making on Friday.
In the second week of holidays, there will be DVDs and cooking on Tuesday April 19, a pool competition on Wednesday, board games on Thursday and a web design workshop on Friday.
