TWO Victorian men who were in an allegedly stolen car that crashed into a stationary police vehicle on Wednesday morning at Sutton Forest will face Goulburn Local Court.
The male driver, 30, and his 17-year-old passenger were arrested after the crash at the off ramp of the Hume Highway overpass near the Shell Service Station about 7.30am on Wednesday.
Sgt Paul Brodie said the stolen vehicle had been identified by another police car just before the crash.
"We believe the car had been involved in a pursuit in Gundagai in the early hours of the morning," he said. "It had also been spotted in Goulburn, so we had been on the look-out for it."
Sgt Brodie said the Toyota drove out of the car park and away from the police car before it crashed into a highway patrol car at the Sally's Corner exit.
The 30-year-old man was charged with two counts of police pursuit, reckless driving, never licensed person driving a vehicle on a road, exceeding the speed limit by more than 30km/h, exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 km/h, and receiving property stolen outside NSW worth more than $15,000.
A 17-year-old male was charged with being carried in conveyance.
