Council will investigate the restoration of funding of $5,000 each to its five reserve management committees.

The latest meeting was told there was a budget allocation of $50,000 for all management committees in the 2001/2002 budget, plus some funds available for re-allocation.

Management Committee co-ordinator Ms Lynn Morrison told the latest meeting funding requests from committees had totalled $87,000.

Deputy Mayor Sara Murray said Council had previously agreed to fund each reserve management committee to the extent of $5,000 but it appeared to have been lost with the formation of the Bushcare Network.
