A new test is offering peace of mind against the illegal practice of drink spiking.
New drink spiking kits were launched in the Southern Highlands on Friday.
The easy to use system is as simple as placing a drop of the drink on a designated point of a specially designed coaster.
If the test point changes to dark blue the result is positive for drugs.
The kits, launched at the Guardian Pharmacy in Bowral, are an initiative of domestic violence forums conducted through the Highlands Community Centre.
They have been made possible through a $2300 grant from Wingecarribbee Shire Council that will see 2000 test kits and 3000 information brochures distributed in liquor outlets and various other businesses in the community.
