Chinese give us a garden

The Chinese city of Kaifeng has offered to build a Chinese garden in Wingecarribee Shire as a symbol of friendship between the two regions.

Former Kaifeng Mayor Liu Chang Chun, now the Secretary General of the Communist Party of China's Kaifeng Committee, made the offer to Wingecarribee Shire economic development officer Carl Pemberton, Southern Highlands Business Chamber chairman Terry Oakes-Ash and businessman Eugene Liu during a recent visit to the province.
