Chevalier College students will be back in the driver's seat thanks to dedicated staff and committed regional industry.
McDonald's Sutton Forest teamed up with Allan MacKay Autos and Bowral Service Station to ensure that students get the best training they can before taking to the roads themselves.
Chevalier College teacher and driving instructor Phillip Mitchell said it was better to educate drivers rather than fine them.
"You can wave a stick all you like but if people don't have hands-on driving experience then they could get into situations where they don't know what to do.
"Last year McDonald's Sutton Forest provided Chevalier with a computer so that students going for their learners permit would have a better understanding of the theory."
Allan MacKay dealer principal, David MacKay, said that being a sponsor of the program was a win win investment opportunity, so when approached by Chevalier to help put a vehicle on the road he was more than keen.
"Saving one persons life would make our sponsorship more than worth while," Mr McKay said.
Thanks to Bowral Service Station, the Chevalier College driver training car will be kept fully fuelled and mechanically sound for the year to come.
