What a magnificent morning it was at the recent Bundanoon Village Garden Ramble.

The gardens were superb, not only with their exquisite landscaping but also with the owner's personal brand of humour.

The RSL Memorial Hall was packed with locally made handicrafts and even by 10am, what I really wanted to buy was already sold.

Well done to you president Marina Beaumont and your hardworking committee members.

Thank you also to those garden owners who allowed the many hundreds of people to share in the delight of your home and garden.

Thank you to all those young people who helped with the morning and afternoon teas. As one who has sampled lots of scones, they were 'simply the best'.

However, the best part for me was being given the honour of opening the show and meeting again the many friends of Bundanoon that these days I really do miss.
