Dear Sir,

In case anyone is wondering why the grass along the bike track between Bowral Street and the Pool is so long, its because after two years the Bowral Mower Club has disbanded.

They used their own mowers, their own petrol and a lot of hours and kept the bike track looking great.

During those two years not one word from Council, other than a personal thank you from David McGowan who uses the track often.

While the various volunteer groups were entertained at a “thank you” function (rightly so) hosted by Council, not an invite or anything to the Mower Club.

I for one will miss them because no doubt the track will become a jungle as it was before they started mowing every two weeks during the past two summers.
