Mittagong martial artist Jacob Blatch won bronze at the National Taekwondo Championships in Adelaide on the weekend.
It was Blatch’s fifth trip to the nationals, where he won gold in 2005.
Blatch finished third in the 14-17 years under-55 kilograms category.
Blatch, a second dan black belt, said he was satisfied with his bronze medal.
Blatch is a four-time state champion and will compete in the state titles in November at Homebush.
He was up against two international fighters, one a member of the junior Australian team, so it was a very good result.
This fighter beat Blatch and eventually won the gold medal.
