An explosion killed one man and injured another two at the Penrose Pine Products plant at Penrose yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 12.30pm yesterday afternoon when a molding machine in the chiproom exploded, hurling one man 10 metres and singeing two others. The worker standing directly in front of the machine died on the scene after sustaining massive head injuries from being thrown across the room.
He was also severely injured from flying shrapnel, a NSW Ambulance spokesman said.
