Motorists are warned to check the conditions of their tyres, with rain and ice making travel on roads more dangerous during winter.
The Southern Highlands again received moderate rainfall yesterday, with Bowral receiving 12mm of rain between 9am and 3pm.
Moss Vale rainfall totalled 9mm during the same hours, while Nowra experienced heavy rain with 19mm falling between 9am and 3pm yesterday.
Moss Vale Tyre & Service Centre manager, Kieran Ellis, said people should be vigilant when it comes to the condition of their tyres, as wet roads can make driving difficult.
