The Moss Vale Dragons are asking the community to help protect their clubhouse, after it was vandalised yet again last week.
Club president Grant Russell said it was heartbreaking to discover graffiti had been sprayed on clubhouse walls, the latest incident in an on-going battle against vandalism.
Mr Russell said he could not count how many times the club has been vandalised during its 20-year history.
He and other club members were becoming more frustrated by the total lack of respect and the sheer malicious damage to the club, he said.
"This is continual. If it is not graffiti, it is break and enter, it is smashing windows," Mr Russell said.
"This is now like Fort Knox.
"We have gauze on every window, electric roller shutters, internal alarm systems -- we had to go to that extent to protect all our assets."
The football club started fundraising and building the clubhouse 20 years ago. Volunteers did everything from helping lay the foundations to painting the walls.
The club has more than 300 members, with both junior and senior rugby league players, volunteers and committee members.
"This has been a community project - it has been the community that has been buying the raffle tickets and supporting the club. It is just as much theirs," Mr Russell said.
"It just breaks your heart. We have tried to fortify this as best we can."
