The first land in Landcom's 600-dwelling Renwick subdivision is expected to be released in spring 2008.
Following recent rezoning approval for the 115ha site near Mittagong, work on roads and infrastructure is expected to begin later this year.
Visiting the site yesterday, Landcom assistant development director Richard Wood said the subdivision would comprise blocks from 600 square metres to half-acre and one-acre, set around a village centre with general store and community centre.
The development will cater for a mix of traditional semi-rural and cottage housing designed to complement the character of the Southern Highlands.
