Total appeal fund payments for households, farm family/primary producers and small businesses who suffered losses from the Christmas bushfires in the Warragamba area have topped $2.59 million.

This includes 179 households which to date have received second round payments totalling $1,027,800.

Some of these families also received $10,000 Helping Hand grants and are eligible for financial assistance from the Government Disaster Relief Scheme.

Second round relief payments from the Appeal Fund to Warragamba households were assessed according to household size, extent of damage suffered and need.
